Dear Congressman Wamp:
Invitation to Speak at CORRE’s Annual Meeting
You are invited to speak at the Annual Meeting of the Coalition of Oak
Ridge Retired Employees (CORRE), and we are inviting other members of
the Tennessee Congressional Delegation as well.
The meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2007,
in the Heritage Fellowship Church in Oak Ridge. The church is on N.
Illinois Avenue, just north of its intersection with Oak Ridge
Turnpike. We expect 700 to 800 retirees to attend.
Each member of the delegation is being invited to speak, with an
allowance of 5 minutes for each. If you cannot attend, a
representative would be acceptable. Also, each member of the
delegation is invited to submit a written statement on his or her
position relative to the support of CORRE positions on pension issues
that we have with DOE and contractors in Oak Ridge. We will read
this statement to the retirees attending the meeting, if you or your
representative is not present. Written statements should be
submitted by email to Pete Lotts, with a hard copy by mail to his
street address, as shown below. We will also publish
the statement on the CORRE website.
So that we can plan our meeting agenda, please let us know if you will
be attending, or if not, the name of a representative who will be
speaking or attending.
Information about CORRE and its agenda may be viewed on its
website: www.corre.info. As you are aware, CORRE represents
approximately 12,000 retirees (or their surviving spouses) of
contractors of facilities in Oak Ridge.
Please contact Pete Lotts if you have questions about this event or
about CORRE and its positions. If you cannot reach Mr. Lotts,
call Keith Kibbe (865-938-1467).
Sincerely,
David E. Reichle, CORRE
