CORRE TO HOLD ANNUAL MEETING SEPTEMBER 26, 2007

Oak Ridge, Tennessee—The Coalition of Oak Ridge Retired Employees (CORRE), an organization which represents the interests of more than 12,000 retirees and surviving spouses from the Department of Energy (DOE) contractor-managed installations in Oak Ridge, will hold their Annual Meeting and Election of Officers on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, 2 p.m., Heritage Fellowship Church, 121 North Illinois Avenue, Oak Ridge.  All retirees, spouses, and the public are invited to attend.

President David Reichle will report to the membership regarding pension adjustments and the fair treatment issue of obtaining the same 2% flat-rate Surviving Spouse Option that was granted to employees in July 2004.  Reichle will comment on current goals along with plans for 2008.  Members will have an opportunity to participate in a question and answer session.

Members of our congressional delegation or their delegated representative have confirmed they will attend and speak.    Local state representatives and area mayors have also been invited.

A slate of Officers and Board members nominated to serve for two-year term limits will be presented to the membership for election.

A large attendance is expected for the 2007 Annual Meeting.  Parking is available at Heritage Fellowship Church and shuttle busses will run from the parking lot of the former Food City on South Illinois Avenue to the church beginning at 1 p.m.
