Name of Organization: Ruby Tuesday Gang

Membership: Primarily folks that worked at Y-12 in the 69s thru 80s (about 17 folks currently on list, always room for more).

Meeting Times: Lunch four or five times a year, dates to be communicated.

Purpose: Visiting and renewal of friendships.

 

 

Name of Organization: Silver Tops — Knoxville Area Chapter (Carbide Retiree Corps, Inc.)

Membership: Former Union Carbide Corporation employees living in this area, regardless of whether worked at DOE installations or other corporate divisions.

Meeting Times: Four times a year, usually in March, June, September, and December.

Meeting Place: Meets at various restaurants in area.

Purpose: To organize former employees into a cohesive group to socialize, dine, and assist each other as possible. The group sponsors a "Friends-in-Need" program.

Membership: Former employees (spouses and friends) of Central Purchasing Offices, Townsite

Meeting Times: 12:00 noon, first Saturday of March, June, September, and December

Meeting Place: Burchfield at Garden Plazel Hotel, Oak Ridge

Membership: Open to members of national AARP, Fee $5.00 annually.
